New Event Registration Service

For the 2013 MWSC, we have switched to a new online event registration service,  Brown Paper Tickets has a more robust set of options, and will now allow conference attendees to register online, by phone, or in person at one of their walk-up locations.  Attendees can click the link below to register.

The next ESDA regular meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, February 13th, 2013, featuring Sharp’s Steve Gelman.  Steve will provide us with training on Sharp’s New 90 inch TV  and 80 inch white board sets.  Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to learn about these new products! The next Electronic Service Dealers Association monthly meeting will be next Wednesday, May 11, 2011.

The program will begin at 7:30 pm and feature a short presentation by Dave Kliss, CET/CSM/MST on LCD lamp replacement and the use of the HR Diemen model TL1040 CCFL Lamp tester as a back light troubleshooting tool. Dave will also show you how to build a UHP lamp tester.

MWSC Hotel Venue Name Changed

We’ve recently learned that the Holiday Inn City Centre Hotel, where we are holding this year’s Midwest Regional Service Conference is undergoing a name change to the Four Points by Sheraton.  There is no change in price for this year, and the excellent service and amenities will not change, the hotel will simply be under a different name.  For more information about the MWSC, please visit the conference site at

ESDA Welcomes a New Member: Matt’s TV

The Electronic Service Dealers Association is proud to welcome our newest member, Matt’s TV & Electronics from Tinley Park, Illinois!

Walter Jones, owner of Matt’s TV & Electronics, attended the monthly ESDA Meeting on April 13th, 2011, and was officially inducted into the association by ESDA President Frank Stillson.

We welcome Walter and Matt’s TV & Electronics to ESDA, and look forward to seeing them in the future as they take advantage of all the benefits ESDA has to offer.

We’ve been working hard to improve the user experience here at, and we’ve added some new features to make it easier for us to provide you with new content.  Let’s walk through the changes:

We’ve completely revamped the look and feel of to better display information for you.  All of the older content is still here, we’ve just made it easier to get access to.  Here’s what we’ve added:

  • Search! – Now you can search previous posts for information, even if it’s not on the main page anymore.
  • Post Calendar – View posts from specific days.
  • Monthly Archive – View posts by month.
